What To Expect At Your First Appointment:

Dress in comfortable loose fitting clothes.

It is ideal to not come in hungry but to have had something to eat a few hours prior.

If it’s your first appointment, your medical history will be reviewed. I’ll likely ask you questions about your sleep, digestion, energy levels, stress levels, if you are experiencing any pain, hormone concerns, etc. A list of current medications and supplements will be necessary if I’m writing an herbal prescription or advising on nutrition.
I will feel your pulses and take a look at your tongue.
Together we will come up with a plan to address your top concerns. And bring you body-mind-spirit into harmony.

You are then invited onto the treatment table, if you are not there already, either face up or face down. Sometimes a session will consist of both. Often it is only necessary to roll sleeves to the elbow and pants to the knee. I have a table warmer and an infrared heat lamp to keep your feet and core warm.
As a musician and meditator, I find setting the tone of the space with vibrational frequencies and subtle incense adds to the healing environment and your comfort.

Our time together may consist of many different modalities of your choosing:

Acupuncture - Classical, traditional, Japanese, esoteric, cosmetic and moxa
Bodywork - Cupping, gua sha, tuina, Chi Nei Tsang
Energy work - Medical Qigong, Reiki, Quantum touch, emotional alchemy
Daoist medicine - talismans, incantations, discussions about virtues
Vibrational healing - tuning forks on the body or needles, bowls, gongs, various instruments, chanting, and mantras
I may also give you personal instruction in Qigong, meditation, and Yoga
I run labs: blood, saliva, urine, GI map, and hair analysis partnering with Rupa Health which is integrated with Fullscript

The clinic space is equipped with a few other tools -
An infrared sauna cabin
a biomat that uses PEMF, red light therapy and infrared heat

At the end of your session we can leave time if you like for tea and to ground and integrate.
I will give you instructions for your herbal formula if one is indicated.
These are often custom granules mixed in hot water but could be foot soaks, tea bags, tinctures, or topical oils.
Or consumption or wearing of a talisman.
