Frequently asked questions.
What can Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine help with?
Pain, stress, immunity, sleep, fertility, digestion, trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, longevity, quality of life, integration, altered states of consciousness, mindfulness.
Many patients seek this medicine for overall balance, prevention, and spiritual well-being.
I also enjoy complex difficult cases that no other professional or healer has been able to resolve. Daoist medicine and quantum approaches often work best. Sometimes its a functional approach to labwork and supplementing deficiencies with supplements or herbs or lifestyle modification.
Do you run lab work, interpret, and make suggestions?
Yes, I can order and interpret labs. Blood, Saliva, Urine and GI maps.
I have accounts with Vibrant Wellness and Rupa- I prefer Rupa as they have integrated with Fullscript- where I can pass on my wholesale discount to you to order and dropship supplements and much more.
I have a relationship locally with POW- phlebotomist on wheels- where they can come to you for blood draws. Or you can book locally at places like Quest, CPL, Anylabtest now, etc.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone’s healing journey is unique.
Acute issues may be resolved in 1-3 sessions. While chronic issues benefit from a series of 6-10 sessions. Often weekly, then every other week, and then monthly. During your initial visit, Dr. Cass will create a personalized treatment plan based on your goals and needs.
Does acupuncture hurt ? What does it feel like?
No, it does not hurt. The needles are hair-thin and rarely do you feel them at all. Most people feel calm and deeply relaxed, frequently falling asleep throughout much of the session. I like to call it acu-stoned.
If you are sensitive to energy- a qi sensation may feel warm, or like a gentle ache, or you may feel the energy activate throughout the meridians.
Also- I practice primarily a Japanese style of acupuncture and moxibustion, the needles themselves are even smaller and the technique gentle- In Kyoto I primarily studied oncology and pediatrics- so I have a very gentle technique.
Do you offer services in Austin and in person?
Yes- Dr. Cass is located in Austin, Texas and offers in person acupuncture, Chinese medicine, functional labs, herbal medicine, medical qigong, sound healing, health coaching, and holistic care in person in Austin, Texas.
She was nominated for the best acupuncturist in Austin by the Austin Chronicle in 2024.

Yes- online coaching, mentorship, energy healing, (qigong classes coming soon) and global retreats are part of the expansion of services.
